Complete series of these abundantly illustrated yearbooks, which cover fifteen years of modern theatre in Czechoslovakia. The illustrations from photographs and drawings depict stage sets, costumes, actors, as well as designs by leading avant-garde Czech artists such as the Cubo-Expressionist Vlastislav Hofman, Josef Čapek, Adolf Hofmeister, Josef Wenig, Bedřich Feuerstein, and others. The photographs show additional works by artists including Antonín Heythum, Josef Lada, Otokar Mrkvička, Zdeněk Rykr, V. H. Brunner and numerous others. With articles, essays, and reviews by, among many others, Jan Bartoš, Diktor Dyk, Vlastislav Hofman, František Langer, Milča Majerová, Voskovec and Werich, and Karel Čapek.
