First edition of this avant-garde novel by Futurist and member of the Centrifuge group Sergei Bobrov (1899–1971), published by Abram Vishniak at the urging of Boris Pasternak (Barnes 304). Wrappers designed by Liubov' Kozintseva (1900–1970), a former student of Aleksandra Ekster who later married Ilya Erenburg. She participated in numerous exhibits while residing first in Berlin and later in Paris. After returning to the Soviet Union in 1940, she worked as an editor for Mosfilm. The novel features a printed dedication to Liubov' Popova. Rare in such good condition. Almost no copies have appeared in the Russian auction market in recent years. Not in Getty.
