[RAF – MARXISM AND PSYCHOANALYSIS] Das Unbehagen in der Kultur. Zeitschrift für Psychoanalyse, Philosophie und Politik. Gazette der Bewegung Radikaler Humanisten [Civilization and Its Discontents. Journal for psychoanalysis, philosophy and politics. Gazette of the Radical Humanist Movement]. No. 1, February 1976 (all published?).

[Berlin]: Verlag 9. November, 1976. Octavo (21.2 × 15 cm). Original staple-stitched hectographed pamphlet; [22] leaves of hectographed typescript to rectos and versos. Text to cover somewhat faded; head of spine slightly frayed; else about very good. Item #P5145

Apparently all published of this journal of the "Movement of Radical Humanists" ("Bewegung Radikaler Humanisten"), which is not recorded anywhere, just as the associated publisher is not evidenced in any other publications. The contents focus in particular on the concept of Fascism in connection with psychoanalysis, the Red Army Faction (RAF), and the imprisonment of the terrorist group in Stammheim. A longer article discusses psychoanalysis, Marxism, and radical humanism. Also discussed is a teach-in in Berlin with Daniel Cohn-Bendit and Bernd Rabehl, a sociologist and member of the SDS, who later became a prominent figure in the German extreme right. The issue also contains a review of the influential book "Transformation of Democracy" by Berlin-based political scientist Johannes Agnoli.
