Scarce catalog of the Prague-based émigré publishing house and Russian-language bookseller “Plamia” (Flame). The literary critic and editor Evgenii Liatskii (1868–1942) founded “Plamia” in 1923 in Prague where he was teaching in the Slavic Department of Charles University. In the 1920s, in addition to the office in Prague, "Plamia" had representatives in Warsaw, Riga, Kaunas, London, Paris, and even Harbin. The present catalog is divided into sections on 1. Literature; 2. Arts; 3. Children’s books; 4. Scientific literature; 5. Dictionaries; 6. Magazines; 7. Varia. The closing section offers books published in the USSR. Advertising of other émigré publishers to rear wrappers including the Berlin based “Ladyzhnikov” publishing house, and the Paris section of Y.M.C.A. Press.
