Two issues of the anti-communist, anti-Semitic and pro-Nazi quarterly issued by the Antikomintern, a propaganda organization established by Josef Goebbels in 1933 with the aim of undermining Soviet credibility. It appeared at a time when Hitler's policy was not yet explicitly Anti-Soviet, but helped justify domestic repressions against communists and scholars of Eastern Europe (Wolfgang Benz 29). These two issues contain contributions on the Far-Eastern conflict and Moscow, Soviet electoral laws, the Moscow-Volga Canal, and the Spanish "Reds" during the Civil War. Both issues also contain short international news items. Goebbels' Antikomintern also intervened in more tangible ways, creating anti-communist bureaus throughout the world, which it supplied with funds and propaganda materials (especially in Spain and Latin America). It also supplied the Spanish Nationalists with broadcasting equipment during the Spanish Civil War. One of the most prominent authors of the Nachrichtendienst, Dr. Rudolf Kommoss, also authored the famous "Juden hinter Stalin: die Jüdische Vormachtstellung in der Sowjetunion, auf Grund amtlicher Sowjetquellen dargestellt" (Berlin, 1938).
