First edition of this book of verse, a revised edition of the "forgotten" volume "Tvář v plamenech" (The face in flames). Žižka (1907–1963) was a Czech writer and poet. With a preface by the Catholic modernist poet Jakub Deml. With overall typographic design (title and cover printed in black and blue) and a surrealist frontis drawing by Bohdan Lacina. Along with Josef Istler, Miloš Kořeček, Vilém Reichmann, Václav Tikal, and Václav Zykmund, Lacina was an early member of the post-war surrealist Ra Group (Skupina Ra). One of 225 copies, this copy no. 203 on milled "Antik."
Outside the Czech Republic, KVK and OCLC only show the copies at Northwestern and Pennsylvania State.
