Significant run, lacking only the final issue, of the rare periodical edited by the "National Vietnam Committee," an organization of the Maoist KPD-AO, a small party that developed out of the APO. The Vietnam Committee primarily served the Maoist group as a means to integrate various unorganized protest groups active after 1968 into the party. In contrast to the competing communist DKP, the KPD-AO did not call for “peace for Vietnam”, but rather for “victory in the people's war.” The committee's activities reflected this stance. Their support for North Vietnam consisted not only of propaganda among German students, but also of collecting donations for military and medical purposes of the Viet Cong and hiding American deserters. So-called “Vietnam committees” were established in schools, universities, businesses, and neighborhoods in West Berlin and West Germany. The National Vietnam Committee largely dissolved following the Paris Peace Accords in 1973.
As of August 2025, KVK, OCLC lists only two libraries with a maximum of three numbers in North America.
