Original staple-stitched brown card wrappers: 40 pp. With a single leaf laid in printed in Latin script detailing library rules and regulations, and two additional leaves in Braille alphabet. Very good.

2. Illinois School for the Blind. Catalog of Music Printed in the American Braille Notation. Jacksonville: Printing Department, Illinois School for the Blind, 1918. Octavo (23 × 14.5 cm). Original staple-stitched grey card wrappers: 40 pp. Very good.

3. Circulating Music Library of Perkins Institution and Massachusetts School for the Blind. Catalog of Braille Music. Watertown: 1922. Octavo (23 × 15.5 cm). Original staple-stitched brown card wrappers: 43 pp. Wrappers lightly creased, else very good. Item #54787

Three catalogs of Braille musical publications, including music for children, hymns and devotional music, classical compositions, Christmas carols, and brass band music held in the libraries of the Perkins Institution and School for the Blind (founded 1829) and the Illinois School for the Blind (founded 1849). Users of the library were able to borrow as well as purchase the musical scores, with the instructions for loan and purchase included on the first page of each catalog. All musical scores are in Braille notation, first developed in 1829 and remaining to this day the most internationally accepted embossed system of musical notation. The publications about music are available in three embossed alphabets: Line Type, Braille, and New York Point.

As of June 2025 KVK, OCLC show copies only of the 1922 catalog, at NYPL, Washington University (St. Louis), and Huntington Library (CA).
