Group of six books on Czechoslovak shop window design, decoration, arrangements, and typographic design.
An interesting and uncommon group of publications documenting the evolution of Czechoslovak shop window and sales showcase design, including works on displaying books at bookshops. The earliest volume dates to 1937, the bulk are from the post-war period. As of December 2024, only one title is held in North America (no. 1, at Providence Public Library), the rest are not recorded in North America. Item #54541

Publisher's decorative portfolio, containing a printed booklet of 36, [2] pp. and 22 loose folded leaves, measuring 29 × 20.3 cm, printed to rectos and versos with typographic and lettering samples. About very good; light wear to folds. As of December 2024, KVK, OCLC only show one copy in North America, at Providence Public Library.

The bulk of the volume consists of 198 photographic plates showing sample showcase designs and arrangements. As of December 2024, KVK, OCLC only show the copy at the Czech National Library and one copy in Germany.

Original pictorial wrappers; 51, [1] pp. A brief introduction is followed by approximately forty drawings of show window arrangements, with some sample fonts and samples of various decorative elements, such as hammer and sickle.
