Complete run of the rare journal, published by the music producer Maxime Schmitt, who later also represented the German band “Kraftwerk” in France. In addition to rock'n'roll, the so-called “cinéma-bis” is one of the most important topics. An article by film critic René Prédal on the function of the imaginary in fantasy films was published in the very first issue. The various genres of the B-movie, such as westerns, action, espionage, science fiction, horror and sex films, were seen as the subject of in-depth analysis and not just as mere entertainment or low culture. Other contributions deal with humor, eroticism, kitsch and politics in fantasy films. In this way, films such as “Frankenstein” and “King Kong” were viewed from different angles. Other topics included Elvis Presley, Gene Vincent, the “Rolling Stones”, James Dean, Keith Richards, the reception of Dracula in rock music, Marlon Brando, David Bowie and John Cassavetes. Contributors include Edouard Ducourau, René Prédal, Alain Paucard, Patrice Périval, Bernard Boyat, Costric and Max Lenini.
As of May 2024, OCLC shows only two copies worldwide, with none found in North America.
