A kind of who-is-who presentation of independent galleries throughout Poland in the late 1980s, this catalog includes information and reproductions of works from galleries such as the Poznań based Galeria Akumulatory 2, Galeria At, the Lublin based Galeria BWI, “Foto-Medium-Art” from Wrocław, Galeria “po” in Zielona Góra, Galeria “Wschodnia” in Łódź, Pracownia Dziekanka in Warsaw, and others, presenting twelve independent galleries in all. The catalog was printed for the Second Biennale of New Art, held in Zielona Góra in 1985–1996. The catalog was edited by the artist Zenon Polus (1953–2013). A graduate of the Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań, Zenon founded the Biennale in 1985, overseeing six iterations of the event. The volume includes essays by Andrzej Lachowicz, Antoni Mikołajczyk, Jerzy Olek, and reproductions of works of Natalia LL, Andrzej Kwietnewski, Zbigniew Libera, Jerzy Truszkowski among others. One of 400 copies printed.
