[POLISH CONCRETE POETRY] Remanent myśli złotych, srebrnych i tombakowych [An inventory of gold, silver and tombak thoughts].

First edition. An experimental publication designed in the concretist manner by the graphic artist and painter Janusz Benedyktowicz (1918–2001), of an equally experimental work by the novelist Karol Bunsch (1898–1987). Best known for his historical novels and his translations of German and English literature, this is the only known poetic work by Bunsch, written in 1971. According to the last page of this 1981 edition, it was created as an “experimental work” at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, for the author, and appears to be the only freestanding publication of this work. The designer, Janusz Benedyktowicz, graduated from the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts in 1951, and in addition to his artistic work published several art-historical studies on lettering and typography.
As of April 2024, we can only trace the copy at the Polish National Library.
