Autographed letter signed by French musician and composer Camille Saint-Saëns (1835–1921) to an unidentified addressee, concerning his "protégé", one Ferdinand Nayrac, whom he knew during his stay in Cairo in 1891, but about whom we are unable to find any information.
The composer goes on to describe how his wife is exhausted by the climate and they are looking for work in milder climes.
