Undated, but early samizdat edition (ca. 1980) of this theatrical novel in verse by Iurii L. Lores (1951), a Russian singer-songwriter, poet and writer. In 1982, Lores was subjected to "prophylactic measures" by the KGB -- a kind of interview that preceded, and often prevented, a formal prosecution. After this, he was unable to publish and perform at large events, which led to a period of private apartment concerts. "Wake for Harlekin" was written in 1977-79 and is constructed around letter fragments, songs and dramatic monologs. KVK, OCLC show no copy of any published work by Lores.
